 Biometric Device Error Handling Procedure

1. Keep the fingers as suggested below. Ensure that the finger used for authentication is clean and placed properly on the device and the biometric device should be placed on a plain, clean and stable surface.

2. The fingerprint scanner should be cleaned after every fingerprint authentication

3. Ensure that fingers placed are not very dry or wet

4. If authentication fails with one finger, other fingers may be tried for authentication

5. Check the Biometric is blocked by operator on UIDAI portal

6. Verify the Biometric Device Drivers Version

7. The Aadhaar number(12 Digit)/ VID(16 Digit) being entered should be correct and valid.

8. Common Error Codes and Solution

1. Error Code - 300, 800 and 810

• Errors with Biometric Devices. First check whether Biometric Device is connected properly. If not, unplug and replug the device. 

• Check Biometric Device Condition (Device Damaged, Glass Broken, USB Port Problem, USB Cable Damaged etc.).

• Biometric Details Did Not Match. Retry with other fingers

2. Error Code - 527 - Invalid MC Code under Meta tag

• Update System Date, Time, Timezone and Check

• Do the Key Rotation in C:/Program Files/Precision Biometric/PBManagementClient/ManualRegistration.exe  and Check

• If Key Rotation failed, End user has to contact their device vendor for validating the device mapping with vendor server

3. Error Code - 557 - dpid is invalid and not part of certificate registry

• Uninstall other/old Biometric Device Software except the latest driver for the device they are using and Check

• Restart the RD Service and Check

• Reinstall the latest Biometric Device Software and  Restart your Computer and Check

4. Finger Print Details and Device Details are empty. 

• Check whether the Device Captures Biometric successfully in the Vendor Test Page 

• For Precision Device, Test at C:/Program Files/Precision Biometric/PBRDService/PrecisionRDServiceTestApplication.html 

• For Mantra Device, Test at http://rdtest.aadhaardevice.com (for https portal, use https) 

• Then Check

5. Error Code - 562 - Timestamp value is future time 

• Update the System Date and Time

• Then Restart the Computer and Check
